about my work.png

Whether you are facing immediate crises or seeking long-term support, I am committed to helping you navigate your path to mental wellness with understanding and professional expertise.

I work from a Humanistic Integrative approach, which allows therapeutic flexibility to flow throughout our sessions. Humanistic therapy emphasises empathy, genuine support, and the belief in each individual's potential for self-growth.

My core beliefs are based on psychodynamic techniques, a form of therapy that explores how early childhood experiences and relationships shape our development.

I support clients in bringing hidden issues to light so that we can better understand and address the root causes of what they are feeling. Whilst allowing my client to take the lead, I bring patience, warmth and an open platform, focusing on ensuring that my clients feel at ease, heard and acknowledged.

Lets put blame to one side and remember that although it didn't start with you, we have the option to end the cycle and patterns which don't belong to us.

"Experience shapes personality, which can, in return, affect an individual's response to that experience. Past experiences affect the present"

What is Intergenerational Trauma?

Intergenerational trauma refers to the emotional, psychological, and behavioral effects of trauma that are passed down from one generation to the next.

It occurs when the trauma experienced by one generation—such as abuse, violence, loss, or displacement—impacts the family system, creating patterns of stress, fear, and unresolved emotional wounds that affect subsequent generations. You may find yourself struggling with unexplained anxiety, triggers, or feelings of emotional unrest, even if you haven't experienced trauma directly.

These feelings can be the result of inherited emotional burdens.

Exploring and healing these deep-rooted wounds with therapy can help you break free from these generational patterns and create healthier emotional foundations for yourself and future generations.
